Could a School Vision Assessment be the solution for my child?

Is your child struggling at School?

Maybe finding reading difficult?

Do they fidget, have poor concentration, and perhaps a little clumsy?

Is homework a battle?

Are they making silly mistakes in their schoolwork or exams?

Do you feel your child isn’t getting the results at school that you feel they are capable of, despite putting in maximum effort...

Your child may be dyslexic or maybe suffering with poor binocular vision and eye mechanics. 95% of dyslexic children suffer with eye issues and many children with poor eye mechanics are wrongly diagnosed as dyslexic.

At Park Vision we are not here to diagnose dyslexia, but we are here to support and work with all children suffering with visual issues.

A school vision assessment is a 90-minute appointment that involves a full eye examination and further, more detailed eye tests to determine how the eyes work binocularly. Eye dominance, hand eye coordination, tracking, ocular muscle imbalances, and colour tints for visual stress and neural processing are all investigated and corrected.

If school vision glasses are the solution for your child, the results should show an immediate improvement in confidence, speed, and accuracy.

A unique prescription will be dispensed to your child, which may involve specialist lenses, prism, and coloured tints. A comprehensive report, explaining the methods of the school vision assessment and your child’s results will be given to you upon collection of their new glasses. The report should help your child’s school to understand why they are wearing the glasses and why your child may be having difficulties with schoolwork. We will continue to monitor your child’s progress within the classroom, through continuous after care, as they grow and develop through their academic life.
